The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir encompasses: the Stone Mandir, the Wooden Haveli and the Heritage Exhibition. Open to visitors from 9:00am – 6:30pm daily throughout the year.

Information & Guidelines

Everyone is welcome to visit the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Individuals and families do not need to book their visit.
  • Schools and groups are welcome to visit the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Advanced reservations are required for school and group visits in order to make your visit comfortable. Please download the booking form and send it to tours.toronto@canada.baps.org. 
  • Guided visits are also entertained on weekends and holidays subject to available visiting time slots.
  • Entrance to the inside of the Mandir, Haveli and the Exhibition is from the Haveli (wooden courtyard) doors only.

    The Mandir is a house of God. Being a very sacred place, all visitors are required to abide by the following rules and regulations applicable to all areas including the Mandir, Haveli and the Exhibition .
  1. Conduct : Please do not touch any of the carvings within the Mandir, Exhibition or Haveli. To maintain the spiritual atmosphere observe silence inside the Mandir and the Exhibition.
  2. Dress Code : Casual attire. No sleeveless tops. No shorts. No skirts shorter than knee length. Sarong will be provided upon request at the reception desk.
  3. Shoes: Visitors are required to remove their foot wear before entering the Mandir or any part of the Haveli complex. (Shoe racks provided within the Haveli)
  4. Seating Arrangements: There are designated areas for men and women inside the main Mandir floor during the Aarti ceremony and other religious rituals. Visitors are requested to adhere to these arrangements during the ceremony.
  5. Restrooms : are located inside the Haveli near the shoe-coat racks.
  6. Photo-Videography : Photography and videography inside any part of the building is strictly prohibited. A selection of photographs is available in the souvenir shop. No commercial photography allowed anywhere in the complex.
  7. Cell Phones : Please switch off all cell phones prior to entering the Mandir. Cell phones with cameras must not be used to take photographs inside.
  8. Food & Drink: No food or drinks are allowed inside. Please discard any chewing gum in the bin provided before entering.
  9. Smoking and Alcohol : Smoking, tobacco, alcohol and drugs are not allowed anywhere in the complex.
  10. Parking : Free parking available. Do not park in the fire-zones and in front of any of the building. The management does not assume any responsibility for vehicles parked on the premises.
  11. Special Needs : Elevator access available; wheelchairs provided upon request, subject to availability. Please contact our volunteers for assistance.
  12. Entrance : Entrance to the Mandir and Haveli is free.
  13. Security : Activities in the complex are monitored and recorded by video surveillance. Please respect all security procedures.
  14. Pets or animals are not allowed inside the complex.
  15. Donations: Visitors wishing to make donations towards the maintenance of the complex or to the charity work undertaken by BAPS in fields as diverse as education, environment, social relief, medicine, preserving heritage and spiritual upliftment are requested to utilize the donation boxes or contact the Reception Counter in the Haveli Lobby. Cheques can be made payable to ‘BAPS Inc.' Tax receipt will be issued.
Please Note: The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to those who do not follow the above listed guidelines.
All visitors aged 17 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all times, otherwise entry may be refused.
The Management also reserves the right to cancel or alter any visit or close the complex or part of the premises without prior notice. Every effort will be made to avoid any inconvenience.
The Management is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any personal belongings of the visitors, during their visit to Mandir.

From Various Stations:

From Finch Subway Station
Take bus 36B from Finch Subway Station. Get off at Viewcrest Circle (after Humber College). Walk North towards Finch Ave. (traffic light) and left on Claireville Drive (across the fire station). You will see Mandir entrance on left hand side. Approx 10 minutes walk.

From Wilson Subway Station
Take bus 96B from Wilson Subway Station. The bus will stop in front of the Mandir gates on Claireville Drive.
